For workers

  1. Sign in using SoftTel SSO.
  2. Create a worker profile (skills + ZIP coverage).
  3. Browse shifts in Discover.
  4. Hold a seat (optional) and confirm participation.
  5. Check in/out on the day of the shift.
  6. Request a volunteer certificate when applicable.

For organizations

  1. Create an organization profile.
  2. Create an event (title, ZIP, details).
  3. Create roles for that event (requirements).
  4. Create shifts (time window, capacity).
  5. Approve workers (if required) and manage attendance.
  6. Close out engagements and issue certificates.

FAQ

Is this a staffing agency?
No. PinchHitterPool is a coordination and availability hub. Employers and workers can use profile links, but the platform is not dependent on external HR systems.
Do I need to pay to use it?
Most functionality is free. Optional paid add-ons cover advanced workflows, SMS packs, certificates, and premium support.
What about identity verification (CLEAR)?
CLEAR integration is planned. For now it’s a hidden placeholder — no UI, no marketing promises.
